“She’s always gonna keep the show going,” Cyrus told Entertainment Tonight on Dec. 1.

“The show must go on. She’s just excited to get back to work,” continued the Something Beautiful musician.

In September, Parton missed an event announcing Dollywood’s new Night Flight Expedition ride.

Instead, she explained her absence in a video shown, stating, “Hello Dollywood! It’s me. I know — and I’m here, and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is? Well, I had a little problem.”

“I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems, turned out it’d given me an infection, and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better, ‘ ” continued the “Jolene” singer.

Just over a week later, the country legend also postponed a number of her Las Vegas shows due to what she described as “health challenges.”

“As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” Parton wrote on Instagram at the time. “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Going on to emphasize that she would not be able to “rehearse and put together a show that I want you to see,” Parton shared a new list of tour dates for 2026.

“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she then wrote. “But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Fans grew increasingly more concerned when the Grammy winner’s sister, Freida Parton, shared on Facebook that she was “up all night praying” for the “9 to 5” singer.

However, she clarified in another Facebook post later that day that she “didn’t mean to scare anyone” and that her sister was just “a little under the weather.”

In November, a source close to Parton told PEOPLE, “Dolly is getting better every day.”

“She is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her,” the insider continued. “In true Dolly spirit, she has already started decorating for the holidays — her favorite time of year.”
