Taylor Swift is spreading holiday cheer in a meaningful way, donating $1 million to Feeding America, the nonprofit network that supports more than 200 food banks across the United States.
The organization announced the contribution on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the singer’s continued commitment to fighting hunger. Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot praised Swift’s generosity, calling it a powerful example of what collective action can achieve.
“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift’s $1 million gift to Feeding America,” Babineaux-Fontenot wrote. “This holiday season, her continued support is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we unite to end hunger. When we join together alongside people facing hunger, we can make sure families have a full table this holiday season and beyond.”
The donation continues Swift’s long-standing pattern of philanthropy, particularly in times of crisis. In October 2024, she donated $5 million to Feeding America to assist communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Earlier charitable efforts include $1 million toward natural disaster relief following severe storms in Tennessee in December 2023 and a $100,000 donation to the family of a woman who was tragically killed during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade in February 2024.
Swift’s influence has also inspired her fanbase to take action. In recent months, fans organized under the banner “Swifties for Hope,” encouraging supporters to donate $13—or whatever they could afford—to Feeding America, particularly amid concerns over potential cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The donation comes as Swift continues to dominate the cultural conversation. Earlier today, she released the final two episodes of her docuseries, “The End of an Era,” on Disney+, offering fans an intimate look at the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras Tour—just in time for the holidays.
