Sydnie Christmas brings the house down with a new version of “My Way” that outshines her viral 10-million-view BGT performance

Sydnie Christmas has done it again and somehow, she’s topped her 10-million-view viral rendition of “My Way” from Britain’s Got Talent.

On February 16, 2025, the BGT 2024 winner closed her show at the Liverpool Philharmonic with a breathtaking new version of the Frank Sinatra classic, showcasing “absolutely insane power, clarity, and control,” as one fan described. As the final note rang out, Sydnie was visibly emotional, holding back tears while the audience rose to their feet in thunderous applause.

Clips from the performance have flooded YouTube and social media, with thousands of viewers praising the singer’s raw talent and emotional delivery. One fan wrote:

“Dear Sydnie, you are my hero. I’m 70 years old with dementia. When I listen to you sing, I go into a different dimension — full of love and beautiful memories. You give me hope for tomorrow.”

Another commenter added:

“She has quite possibly one of the strongest female voices I’ve ever heard. That power, clarity, and control is absolutely insane.”

Many agreed that this performance will “stand the test of time,” calling it one of the greatest live versions of “My Way” ever performed. One viewer even declared, “Sinatra himself would give this a standing ovation.”

But while her career continues to soar, the 30-year-old musical theatre performer remains refreshingly grounded.

Recently, Sydnie addressed fans’ concerns after followers flooded her inbox with messages about her appearance in a makeup-free Instagram video.

“I just have to say something,” she told her 200,000 followers. “Yes, I didn’t have any makeup on but I’m completely fine! It’s so funny that in this day and age, the second you don’t wear makeup, people think you’re not well.”

Since her BGT win in 2024, Sydnie has had a whirlwind year, releasing her debut album My Way, performing at the Royal Variety Performance for King Charles, and even rubbing shoulders with Michael Bublé and Jennifer Hudson in Los Angeles. Over the summer, she also starred as Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical alongside Jeff Brazier and Aston Merrygold.

Despite the fame, Sydnie insists she still leads a normal life.

“I don’t get noticed, ever,” she laughed. “I was out with Harry Clark and Paul Gorton from The Traitors, and everyone recognized them — not me! They thought I was their manager.”
