Fans Can’t Believe Their Ears as Mickey Callisto’s Train Station Performance Sounds Just Like Freddie Mercury Singing

Years after dazzling Britain’s Got Talent audiences with a flamboyant, Freddie Mercury–inspired audition that earned a standing ovation and sent Queen’s hits back up the UK charts, Mickey Callisto is once again turning heads — this time in a train station.

The singer-songwriter recently stopped commuters in their tracks with a spellbinding street piano performance of his latest single “Slave To The Man.”

As his voice echoed through the station, bystanders gathered to watch — with some saying that closing their eyes felt like hearing Freddie Mercury himself.

“Performing live anywhere — even on the street — is where I feel happiest,” Callisto shared. “Connecting with people through music, whether in a packed venue or on a train platform, is what keeps me going.”

The track, which has been out for just over a week, has already received an outpouring of praise online. Callisto later opened up about the creative process behind the song, revealing the dedication that went into crafting it:

“‘Slave To The Man’ has been out for a week now, and the love and support have been amazing,” he said. “I first wrote the song on piano — it was about me working in a phone shop and doing a full-time job — but that was just the basis. Then I flew over to Serbia to record with my band Cosmic.

They added the guitar, drums, bass, and backing vocals, and Nash, our lead guitarist, recorded an incredible solo. To give it more of my own stamp, I layered some synths — a Roland Jupiter and Juno — for that fantasy feel. Finally, I sped the track up using a Japanese tape machine after being inspired by how ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ by Tears for Fears was made. It gave the song a sense of urgency and mystery I really loved.”

Fans have flooded the internet with admiration for both his song and his impromptu performances:

“Goosebumps! Fabulous! Come tour Germany!”
“Freddie is watching you from Heaven — he’s delighted!”
“Your voice is amazing, man.”
“Freddie would be proud.”

Beyond his powerful vocals and stage charisma, Callisto’s intergalactic persona continues to fascinate audiences. A self-confessed space enthusiast, he drew his name from Callisto — one of Jupiter’s Galilean moons — in alignment with his Sagittarius star sign. Writing and producing all his own music, he ensures each project reflects his unique mix of theatrical energy and heartfelt artistry.

“Freddie taught me to sing with passion and make people feel involved in the performance,” Callisto added.

From his unforgettable BGT debut to spontaneous street performances, Mickey Callisto continues to prove that music, when delivered with authenticity and heart, can transcend any stage — even a busy train platform.
