Crowd Shocked When 11-Year-Old Olly Pearson Jumps on Stage for an Unplanned Michael Jackson Guitar Performance

With his guitar already carving out unforgettable moments on some of the biggest stages, 11-year-old prodigy Olly Pearson continues to prove why he’s one of Britain’s most exciting young performers.

Best known for his breakout run on Britain’s Got Talent, where he wowed the judges, earned multiple Golden Buzzers, and ultimately finished fourth in the grand final — Pearson has now added another remarkable chapter to his growing story.

During a visit to the Rhosddu Carnival with his family, Pearson was unexpectedly invited to perform on stage. With no rehearsal and little time to prepare, the youngster dashed home to collect his guitar and equipment before stepping into the spotlight. What followed was a raw, impromptu rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” that left the festival crowd cheering.

“This was the first time I ever played ‘Beat It’ live, and the crowd were just awesome,” Pearson later shared. “It was such a great way to say thank you for all the support during BGT.”

The festival moment quickly spread online, where fans flooded the comments with praise. One admirer declared, “A future great guitarist in the tradition of Hendrix and Page,” while another called him “a phenomenon on the guitar.” Others were quick to point out his natural charisma: “Style, talent and oodles of charisma… he’s the whole package!”

Pearson’s stage presence has already carried him far. Earlier this year, he rose to prominence on Britain’s Got Talent, performing electrifying covers of Wings’ “Live and Let Die” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” His performances earned him Golden Buzzers in both his audition and semi-final, sending him straight to the final where he secured a remarkable fourth-place finish against much older competition.

The video has garnered nearly one million likes on Instagram, with Pearson later writing: “Working with such amazing musicians was a privilege. Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody… Paris. Enough said.”
